Ups and Downs !

Lost in words of how one can express what illuminates our minds in general. There are times when we need to remain silent despite provocation. There are times when abuse is so obtuse it does not produce any movement within. Within our beliefs our temperament or our elements ..

Retaliation is retrograde and unwelcome. Infuriating yes … but degenerate ! It never hurts or pains .. it contemplates me ! I think of the state of the individual … his or her conditioning, their issues that provoke such mindless verbosity ! A troubled upbringing, decayed living conditions, frustrations, undesired obstacles … what .. ??

They indeed are the ones that are troubled. Not us the ones they target. No. We have been salvaged by our balance and our esoteric minds ! Perplexing, enigmatic, inscrutable.

But what of them … they that attempt to penetrate this unbreakable wall of our own persistence. They are damaged souls, devoid of all the pleasantries that life could and does offer. They never buy into it. Perhaps it is beyond their means ; an expense perhaps which they may not readily afford. A paucity, which in normal conditions one would support. But not this …

” I climbed up to the roof and looked down upon the ladder which I used with some contempt. It did look up at me and remarked .. ‘hmmm .. come down’ … !”

I could remove those steps that took him up, and wonder how he would come down. Or leave it to him to devise a way. For, all that goes up, shall eventually come down. There are limitations to how long one can persist to remain at the top of the roof. It is a barren space, roof ! Open to the elements, and all that they hold for us. It can be pleasant for a while, but then .. down must you come … and how ? How would you without the support of the ladder ? Contempt towards it then should be restrained and understood. We are all born of the earth, and to earth we shall be buried or devoured. The roof shall always remain a symbol. A symbol of limitations.

So … never forget the ladder … it has greater use and value when you need to come down !!
