Movies

In a rather unusual move saw two films almost back to back - ‘Argo’ and ‘Skyfall’. The former I thought was brilliant. A tense moment in the history of the world, but executed on film with a kind of calmness that I perhaps have not seen being demonstrated in a story of this nature. I have believed, and perhaps expressed it earlier, that the nature of the film reflects the nature of its director in many ways. Watching ‘Argo’ I could not get myself to believe that Ben Affleck its director and main lead, is not by nature a calm and controlled individual. At such young an age to have such maturity in creative expression is rare. But there it was, I felt in the film, a certain languid feeling of ‘everything shall be alright’. And it did become alright. The effort to detail, the correctness in its casting and the execution of the true to life scenarion, was exceptional ..

'Skyfall' being a James Bond movie it lacks the spark of its brand. The fact that the movie is not pack with the usual gadgets and action sequences that we used to see in a 007 flick. The story goes back to when all begins it was kind of sad to the departure of 'M' from the franchise. It was very disappointing to see that the action hero was so helpless against a very determined villain who succeeded in his purpose.

Watching this movies after so long was kind of relaxing. Going out of the routine was nice.

Love to all...
