Slaves of the future?
Again Sunday! A day for the children to go to the Imambarga, well for at least some of them. It is so important for our next generation to have at least a general knowledge about their parents faith. So they can pass it on as our parents did with us. Everything I know about Islam and shia-ism I will say that I owned it to Mom and Dad. In this century everything is so fast and technology plays a very essential role in the education of our kids that if one missed on the basic foundations then it will be a very bad future for the child. In this advance era everything is done with the help of some machine which makes our children not very well prepare to respond to the upcoming situations that will he/she will face. Nowadays lots of children have lost the ability to make a sentence, write a paragraph, or even to a simple addition or subtraction without the help of a machine. I can't say if we have develop as a community or actually pushing our own kind to the edge a cliff so deep that climbing back up is going to take generations to come. The dependency that we have created is making our children minds useless, he creativity is none existing anymore. A child of today is not looking to find out answer for a problem but for the button which he can push to get rid of that problem. Mr. Jobs have done a great contribution to the entire human race by developing the IPhone, but we as parents are making his invention the toy for a 2 year old. Amazing! Not only happy with that we feel proud that our kid is so good in handling a sophisticated and expensive apparatus that changed the technology of this modern society in which we live.At least children from third world countries are save from this so call advance society. A compare to a child from a well develop country they more more independent and capable of solving situations without the help of a computer or a calculator.
If we are looking to find a new and prosperous horizon with our children. If we want our communities to get develop further and discover new “toys” to play with, then we will have to reflect and ask ourselves, who is going to achieve these goals ? Who are going to be our scientists? Who are going to leave behind for future generations to come the path of creating new ways of lives. Ae these slaves of the new technology going to be able to do it.
Love to all…
DiL.
