November 22, 1963: President John F. Kennedy Is Assassinated
Fifty years ago today, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas, Texas.
While riding in an open-top Lincoln convertible through downtown, President Kennedy was struck by two bullets near the base of his neck and in his head.
First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, he was pronounced dead 30 minutes after arriving at Dallas’ Parkland Memorial Hospital.
The emotions of the some people are difficult to bear, especially when they express distress and sadness. This platform is for happy people ; for us to be together in laughter and togetherness .. in moments of trial and tribulations, unwanted circumstances .. ugliness from the distorted world … pain and agony, hurdles and misfortunes !!
I can understand the conditions of many that bear in life what they should not be bearing … but there is no relief for anyone from some of the situations in our lives, that shall keep occurring from time to time. The search for the moment when pleasant thoughts shall abide within us, may just not be the ideal chasm of happiness …
Pleasantness will not perhaps deliberately move or take measured steps into your vicinity or your territory. It will need to be created .. pulled out from wherever it is residing, and pushed to become a part of you .. that and only that will be the route to be taken. An invitation for its presence within you may take time, may never happen, or happen with a certain degree of resentment .. we do not wish that for anyone … we wish that it be pursued, troubled and chased for, until it becomes a part of you.
A relatively restful day .. but a day of many thoughts .. thoughts come easily .. they are the most silent and non controversial elements within us .. they challenge our imagination most of the time .. they design the most beautiful and the most horrific thoughts at times … but since they remain within, they remain within .. thank fully ..
Many would argue that thoughts at times need to be live and attainable, much like aspirational dreams. But they generally have different connotations .. some you wish had not had the audacity to form within you !!
At times you wish that your imagination had not travelled so rapidly and with such speed … there are times though that work inversely to this process .. why does the mind think the way it does at times .. is that indicative of desire, want, inclusion … what ??
I do not have answers to this … and often I am happy that I do not .. !
There is a certain joy in acknowledging the accomplishments of another .. I did so today for ‘Godfather’, the film and its glorious cast and crew .. with Francis Ford Copolla, with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino and more .. all that have made this film a most memorable experience for me .. I have watched it 2 times over in the last 24 hours and still desire more .. those late hours that you have been noticing on timelines of this extraordinary medium, is so because of this most enjoyable activity of mine .. relish the professionalism of those of that generation … I am in awe of their accomplishments in such an amazing period .. the sincerity and the absolute correct note in their early performances is incredible .. how they are able to get the tone balance and graph of the characters they play to perfection is a mystery to me, and I shall always laud them for it .. they are truly the brightest past of cinematic historyaround the world... and I am filled with emotions...
Each day as gone by brings out a revelation in today’s life .. we live in the best of times, and I am fortunate that I am alive to read and see through this medium what that generation has achieved for us to enjoy, and applaud the undoubted talents of the ones like JFK and the Godfather film making.
The dexterity, understanding and projection of all that that generation does is awe inspiring ..
I wish to be inspired all the time ..
Love to all...
