Christmas Tree!

As you fly over the skies and the waters below and the clouds within, why is it that the most creative thinking emerges … why is it that the most unthought of thoughts overtake your already crowded mind ..

Is it just me or is this a universal phenomena … ??

Never mind … I think most of what one says remains unobserved, so best to keep it to oneself and allow it to dwell, rather than hope there shall be reaction to it, either in affirmation or in disagreement !

I mentioned on the Twitter earlier on the concept of the ‘Christmas Tree’ being first initiated by Germany. many asked why and the story if any to justify it.

A very poor and desolate farmer who lived and survived with great difficulty inside a dense forest, was once disturbed in the middle of the night by a young child - poor beyond conception, weak from scarcity of food, clothed in the ragged torn pieces of cloth which could well have been picked up from waste in the streets - shivering in the cold, at the farmers door. The farmer moved by the condition of the boy, despite his own very limited means, brought the boy in, warmed him up with whatever clothing he could muster, fed the child and created a comfortable bed for him to spend the night away from the cold.

The next morning on returning to the room and the bed he had given this little boy, he discovered that the boy looked clean and well fed, a glow about him, the room looked different and filled with all the elements of comfort … the little boy had stepped out through the window and stood there with a certain heavenly glow about him.

The boy looked happy and far from ill … he broke a small branch of a fir tree nearby and gave it to the farmer, telling him that he would never live in such adverse conditions, would have all the proc=visions he needed throughout his life, and that there would be no want in his life ever ..

The perplexed farmer when he asked the little boy who he was, got the answer -

" I am God’s  child " !

Because of the sympathy shown to Him, that fir tree was his emblem to rid him of all the evil that the father or the farmer had faced ever. The little gifts on the tree are the elders way of ‘giving’ that which they feel needs to go to the needy.

When you give unconditionally … you shall receive unconditionally too !

I give you my love …. and seek forgiveness in not going that extra mile to respond or talk more ..

I needs must rest … and ponder with eyes shut inviting pleasant dreams, and dreams of that which I have not had courage to express or the will to plough forward …

With lots of love...

DiL
