Friendship

It is very rare, almost impossible to find a good friend these days in life. To date I haven’t seen anybody committed to that relationship 100%. There are many who blew their own trumpet, and disperse to the four winds how good they are as friends. Friendship in movies is the only place where you can see the real value of this wonderful relationship. The fact of being unconditional is purely a myth that has no space in the cruel reality of today’s materialistic world. For the last century this world is evolved around the concept of capitalism. Money is everything for us. We forget the human relationship goes beyond every conventional ideology and, it is not a mathematical equation that you have to balance the parts to make the equation right.

The saying “a friend in need is a friend indeed” Although it came from actual actions from the past, by the passing of time it has loss it true meaning which according to me is “a real friend is known when in difficulty.” I remember that Mom use to tell us about when Hazrat Hussain (PBUH) was in karbala, surrounded by the army of the tyrant Yazid, Hazrat Hussain (PBUH) got together with his family, friends and followers the few that accompany him to Syria. He said “This is a very difficult time for me, anyone of you who wants to leave and don’t have the courage to do it because of respect, fear towards me, I will deemed the light in the room and you can leave without any shame. “bhuje chirag pe hum dosti parakte hai ye rasm aapne kabile mein karbala se hai.” After few minutes light was back and the first one to stand by his sight was an old friend.

Dad has to be said by his own friends that Nasar is a good friend. I have met childhood friends of my father they all recall the best of time spent with my fathers’ company. When it was happy times he was there to share his friend’s joy, when sorrow he was there to accompany his friend through rough times. The joining bond between them was Dad. Even today when he goes to a country Venezuela, Pakistan or UK he is the one who is contacting old friends and asking for their wellbeing. That’s the way one should keep and maintain an old and precious relationship.
Few people in this world have a good friend. If you have that special person in your life nurture that friendship with love, dedication, and affection. After all friendship is life.
