Syrian conflicts or ours?

It is outrageous to see that Britain is preparing to arm rebels in Syria despite they are behind a string of atrocities, according international resources.

The Ministry of Defence has already pledged to send armoured vehicles and body armour to opposition forces but yesterday it was revealed the military had not ruled out delivering guns and grenades.

Any state considering sending arms to opposition groups in Syria should first carry out a human right risk assessment. Arming rebels could only escalate the violence and, give that atrocities have been committed by both sides, you could be arming the terrorists of the future.

European Union is urge to bring forward talks on the arms embarg but, David Cameron hinted this week that Britain would not wait for the EU mandate. He told senior MPs 'it's not out of question we might have to do things our own way'. The point is, are we then going to asked the same EU and the UN to respect the embargo on Iran and North Korea while we decide the embargo on Syria is no longer applicable on us?

If I may recall years back which countries were arming Iraq's Saddam Hussain regime fighting a never ending war against Iran. After those same countries turn against Saddam calling him a crazy dictator with WMD, huh?

I think we should think it over, and realize that we don't want foreign hands helping raised an army against our own elected government, would we? It is a matter of semantics, some rules for others and, if the same rules apply to us then we called them terrorists.

Good morning everyone,

DiL.
